Connected league data stays account-owned
League Read keeps an independent private copy of each league you connect. Teams and managers belong to that imported league, while your account remains the owner of its League Read copy.
Another person can connect the same external league to a different League Read account without sharing your saved provider access or changing your copy.
Each provider uses the smallest available connection
- CBS exchanges the submitted password for a token and does not save the password.
- Public ESPN leagues need no ESPN session. ESPN discovery returns league and team labels to the setup page but never returns cookies. For a private league you explicitly choose, the linked browser extension sends the session directly to League Read, which encrypts it for that account and league.
- Sleeper and Fleaflicker discovery does not request a site password.
- MyFantasyLeague uses the league API key instead of a site password.
See League provider guides for the exact setup and limitations of each source.
Syncing does not manage your fantasy team
League Read reads provider data into its own copy. It does not submit lineups, waiver claims, trades, draft selections, or league-setting changes to the provider.
Your league is excluded unless you allow it
League Read currently trains projection models from canonical NFL history and applies your league's rules to league-specific results. It does not currently pool customer league activity into shared-model training.
During setup, you can separately allow eligible settings and de-identified draft, roster, transaction, matchup, and result patterns from one league to be considered for future privacy-reviewed training. Account and contact details, provider credentials, direct league, team, and manager identifiers, and private conversations are excluded.
You can change the choice for each league in Data & privacy. Turning permission off excludes that league from future training runs, but cannot remove its influence from an aggregate model that was already trained and published.
Inspect, reset, or remove stored data
Data & privacy shows the leagues and account-owned data League Read stores. Resetting custom settings removes only your custom rule versions and their dependent outputs. Removing a league queues deletion of that account’s imported copy, saved connection, settings, projections, and saved league work.
Removing your League Read copy does not delete or modify the original fantasy league.
