League provider guides

Choose the fantasy site that owns your league. Each provider exposes different connection methods and league data.

Help topics
CBS Sports Fantasy

Connect with your CBS member sign-in

Live draft supported

Enter the CBS league ID or URL, your CBS member ID or email, and your CBS password. League Read sends those credentials to CBS once to obtain an access token, saves the token encrypted for your account and league, and does not save the password.

Reconnect from League → Settings if CBS rejects the saved token later. CBS supports current and historical league imports plus live-draft pick refreshes.

ESPN

Public leagues connect directly

Private browser connection available

Choose an NFL season and let the linked extension find the leagues on your signed-in ESPN account, or enter a league ID or URL manually. League Read leaves out ESPN leagues already connected to your account and always asks you to choose before adding one. Public leagues need no ESPN sign-in. Public connections can import settings, teams, rosters, matchups, draft results, and accessible league history, but ESPN does not expose transactions without an authenticated session.

ESPN live-draft synchronization is not currently available.

Connect the League Read browser extension

League Read never asks for your ESPN password. The extension links once to your League Read account with a narrow, revocable token. Review or revoke linked browsers from Account → Browser connections.

The extension can read ESPN’s signed-in fan profile to list your fantasy-football league names, seasons, IDs, and team names. It returns only that list to the League Read page; ESPN cookies are never included. After you choose a private league, the extension sends ESPN’s SWID and espn_s2 session cookies directly to your League Read server. The web page never receives them, and the extension never stores them. League Read validates and encrypts the ESPN credential for that account and league so scheduled server-side imports can continue after the browser closes.

  1. Install the extension in the same Chrome or Firefox profile you use for ESPN.
  2. Open the extension and choose Connect to League Read. Sign in if needed; the Browser connections page finishes the account link.
  3. Sign in to ESPN Fantasy in a normal tab in that browser profile.
  4. In League Read, choose ESPN and an NFL season. Select the league you want from the signed-in account list; leagues already connected to League Read are left out.
  5. Confirm the selected league. If it is private, League Read asks the linked extension for the signed-in ESPN session and begins the authenticated import.

If ESPN signs you out or rejects the saved session later, sign in to ESPN again and reconnect that league. You do not need to relink the extension account unless its browser connection was revoked.

Sleeper

Find leagues by username

No password

Enter your Sleeper username and NFL season, then choose from the leagues League Read finds. Sleeper uses a read-only public API, so League Read does not request or store a Sleeper password.

Linked prior-season leagues can be discovered during setup. Sleeper supports current and historical imports plus live-draft pick refreshes.

MyFantasyLeague

Connect with a league API key

Live draft supported

Enter the MyFantasyLeague league ID, NFL season, and league API key. The key authorizes League Read to read that league without collecting your MyFantasyLeague site password.

MyFantasyLeague supports current and historical imports plus live-draft pick refreshes. Use the API guide linked from the connection form if you need to locate or enable the league key.

Fleaflicker

Find leagues by account

No password

Enter your Fleaflicker email or user ID and NFL season, then choose from the leagues League Read finds. League Read does not request a Fleaflicker password.

Fleaflicker supports current and historical imports plus live-draft pick refreshes, subject to the seasons and data available from its API.

A useful distinction

League providers are not the same as football sources

Your connected league provider supplies league-specific rules, teams, rosters, transactions, drafts, and matchups. Other football sources supply schedules, statistics, injuries, weather, news, expert rankings, market data, and projections.

You do not need to connect or manage those football sources. League Read attributes them in player details and Methodology and preserves missing information as unavailable instead of guessing.
